Welcome to my world.
I'm Anne-Claire Martens and I create art for those who care deeply.
My totems and beeswax paintings are portals into ancient wisdom cultures that never truly disappeared. A memory of times when everything that gave life was revered as sacred. I use to language of symbols to reawaken this memory within.

A Technique as Old as Time
The word encaustic comes from the Greek enkaustikos, meaning “to burn in,” which refers to the process of fusing layers of wax with heat. This ancient technique holds a timeless magic, as beeswax, resin, and fire come together to create something entirely unique.
